Winthrop University's 2020 Graduating Class

This piece was created as a commemorative poster for Winthrop University's 2020 graduating design class. The Destruction of Man is a play on The Creation of Man by Michelangelo, and an homage to Kelli Anderson who was supposed to be the guest speaker at the event (it was canceled due to the pandemic). Instead of the creation or the beginning, this piece shows the end of an era: the end of the student's college experience. The paper rotates into a deconstructed garden with the dreaded spinning beachball, made of gold, in the middle--a wink to the endless hours on the computer for the past 4 years. It is hand-painted & handcrafted by me.
